Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil

Advertorial

These days there have been quite a lot of hype about using oil for body, hair and even skin care. Recently, I received Palmer Skin Therapy Oil for face that is a multi-purpose skin perfecting dry oil for face & neck. It promises to reduce lines & wrinkles, lighten dark spots, moisturise dry and ageing skin, brighten and even skin tone.

If you have not heard of Palmer, maybe you will recognise the logo below. I always associate Cocoa Butter with Palmer but besides that some of its other key ingredients used in various products are shea butter and extra virgin olive oil. This brand has been around for over 170 years!!

Anyway so back to the product. As you can probably tell, I am not in the age group (yet) to be experiencing most of the problems stated above. So I passed it to my mom to try for a week but before that ...here's a test on my hand. Not sure if it is visible, but after application, the skin looked less dry. However as it is oil-based, absorption speed was rather slow.

And here's the results on my mom's face after a week of application!

Palmer Skin Therapy Oil before and after

As you can see (the red arrow) the dark spot has somewhat lighten after application. The area towards the left of the arrow also appeared less dry which is great! As she has only used it for a week, we couldn't really tell if it reduces the number of wrinkles.

BUT

before you jumped for joy having found the miracle product through here, I do have a note of warning that this product may not necessarily be suitable. Even though my mom's skin is a little on the dry side, the use of this has actually caused a pimple on her forehead. I am not sure how many older folks still get pimples, but with my mom, she hardly gets them. This potentially means that the product may be too rich for her.

FRET NOT.

you can get a sample to try and see if it suits your skin before buying the retail size!

  1. I hear a lot about oils and serums but haven't tried any yet, although thank you for the heads up aabout this possibly being too rich, as that's something definitely to bear in mind. Otherwise sounds like a fab product :) x

  13. I love Palmer's products but I've not heard of this therapy oil. I've been using an oil just like this and works wonders. I'll have to check this out and see if this oil is cheaper in the UK than the one I use.
