Genki Sushi Has Awesome Salmon

We went Genki Sushi for a Valentine's Date. Kinda. Since we don't celebrate Vday.
But boyfriend offered to treat, so yay :D
we wanted to go there weeks before, but the queue was long @.@

Here's the boyfriend ordering our food from the iPad mini.
I like how automated the place is, it is like a perfect example of what Singapore should do to boost productivity.

You see, because our food come in express trains like this (or sportscar, depending on where you sit)
So there's no need to wait for waitresses. You know how sometimes these waitresses/waiters take AGES to bring you your food and bill *coughrafflesplacemrttcccough* *sunteccitypizzahut*

and then you just press that yellow angry face to send the train back to the kitchen once you take your food. So cute right!
Pardon the poor picture, iphone has no white balance feature :(

3 crabsticks with different stuff on top. $3.80
It is not the fake crabstick, but made of real crab. Not THAT nice though, I can still taste a little of those fake crabstick flavours.

Salmon sushi in black pepper something something - $2.30
now this is something you should have at least 10 plates of (and pass the rice to your bf lol)
The salmon tasted fresh and I think they seared the top, so it is a bit cooked, perfectly done.

Just two random pictures of the octopus balls $3.80

Most food are in the areas of $2.30-$3.80, not unlike the prices you see in those stores that serve sushi on conveyor belts. I would put Genki in the same rank as Ichiban in terms of salmon taste lol, but of course it pales in comparison when we talk about food choices.

This is definitely better than Sakae Sushi without a doubt.

If you are on a budget, you can keep on checking on the iPad, how much you have spent as well as if they have forgotten any of your orders.
My only qualms is the service fee we have to pay, seeing that everything is near automation, I don't see why we should pay for service fee. But okay, these express trains system do need maintenance fee.

Oh oh, there's also a poster at the shop front saying that it provides wi-fi and high speed fiber broadband, but when I ask the waitress, she say don't have -,-
3G from M1 doesn't work in the store :(
but nevermind, I am sure you (unlike me) need not be technologically connected for your 1hr mealtime .
We spent about $50 for 2 person.
I wanted to order 100 plates of the salmon thingy, the bf refused lololol. He said he rather buy me 1 slab of salmon to bite.
Thank you for the treat :)
