Sleep Time | Azumio zzzzz

Have you heard of Azumio Sleep Time?
I saw it being introduced in MyPaper I think and I got interested in it.

It's lame, but I always wanted to know how I sleep, I mean sometimes we wake up feeling so tired and we wondered if we actually slept the night before right? The best way is to measure our brain waves of course, but I can't possibly do that everyday. $$$ you know? Then I thought of recording my movements when I sleep, but what if I see some stuff flying around in my room? FREAK OUT.

The cheapest, perhaps not the most accurate way is through this app. Hengggg I got it for free :P
It's USD0.99 now, get it now when the exchange rate is low! Basically the app detects our movements while we sleep and plots a graph to show our sleep cycle.

see below:
Yellow = awake
Green = Light sleep
Blue = Deep sleep + REM (the stage where dreams usually occur) where our muscles are paralysed.

So to test if this app is a scam, I put the phone on the table. By right laying the phone flat on table = 0 movement = it should be blue as though as it is in a deep sleep. So yes it was! But I don't understand why deep+rem was 0%. Nevermind. It meant it worked somehow.

Further proof that this app is not a scam?
The app was developed using proven sleep science and has worked with Stanford  University to create a best in-class, proprietary algorithm that analyses sleep cycles.
Aiseh! So scientific, me like :D

here's a screenshot of one of my better sleep.  Longer deep sleep + REM is good as it means that your body is getting sufficient rest. Light sleep is like you will wake up at any slight movement, much like how we try to sleep in class. Not very fulfilling right?

It even shows you a weekly/monthly charts on average bedtime, average sleep duration and efficiency of sleep (which deducts the awake time duration). Erm I forgot to set it on Saturday heh.
Anyway, it made my sleep time more interesting! Everyday I wake up, it felt like I have some results to check lol. So far, quite normal! Except during those days when I have too much thoughts in my mind.

This app is actually good for people who have sleep problems, for e.g. if you know that you take a long time to fall asleep, you might want to start your sleeping period early in order to maximise your sleep duration. Or for example in my case my average sleep duration is 6 h30 min and only 84% of these 6+ hours I am asleep, it signals to me that I should sleep earlier so I can have the optimal 7-9hours of sleep.

Er BTW, I am not sure how accurate will it be if you are sharing beds with other people since the app detect motion.
