Everyone Loves Surprises!
I didn't tell anyone, but I actually put up my electronic stocking.
You know, the sock-like thingy?
I put it up virtually *likeaboss.jpg*
Naturally it has to be Cinnamoroll
ok kidding lah, this is not mine.
But I did wake up to a surprise email :D
so I saw it on my iPhone, I was like eh why did ASOS email my work email (haven't scrolled down yet)
Then I read the message I was like huh? What's going on?
I had to read it thrice before I understood what was happening lol sorry I just woke up before I saw the email, not trying to be a retard here.
HOW SWEET CAN MY BOSS BE?!
HOW?
HOW?
And it was such an amazing coincidence that I was giving my take on gifting yesterday and I got this today!
I shared with him what I wrote (not the blog url erps. but he can google it if he wants) along with my THANK YOU VERY MUCHI message.
and then he replied,
I must have ranted to almost everyone about my lost watch lol.
and the 'thought knew part' was spot on!
I can't ask for a better boss :') but I still want a big fat bonus for year-end.
Nevermind, that's out of his control.
My mom was like, eh why GBP25 so little
=.=
sigh, this is a gesture, something probably out of his pocket.
Felt like someone was raining on my parade but, NEH nevermind, it is really the thought that counts!
Besides SGD50 is really quite a lot, it is like my one week worth of meal.

It's quite sad to work away from your team, when all of them are in UK and I am stuck in SG.
Sure I have nice colleagues whom I get along well with, but I like to debate about if vaccines are biosimilars or what's the future of stem cell therapy with biopharm peeps. Instead I am here whole day talking about S&P and other economic things. Not grumbling, I learnt a lot from my SG colleagues, but it is not really the same right? It's like I will probably be more comfortable in SBS and not SMU.
This boss shows leadership streak and I really appreciate it. He doesn't order us to do things, instead do things with us. Unlike someone.
He maybe forgetful at times, but he doesn't abruptly cancel meetings etc. Unlike someone.
Things he initiated actually make sense. Unlike someone.
He doesn't boast when he has an achievement instead chose to credit it to the whole team. Unlike someone.
He doesn't jeer at people when they are down. Unlike someone.
He's always interested in what I have to say, even if it is about Singapore politics (for pete sake, he doesn't even stay here), or my lost Lipsy watch lol or Marshmallow, mantou and fluffy.
We can talk just about anything in the world IN ADDITION (i must stress this or it sounds like I am slacking) to work and he actually remembers all my stufftoys' names (what is this?!?!?!) and so does the team.
While someone calls Mantou a freaky toy, le team in UK said they miss seeing mantou around.
You see the level of appreciation my boss and the team and someone has for the employee? That someone is just totally not interested in what I have to say (not that I really care about what someone says).
Okay, this is taking a bitter note, I am just trying to emphasise that I see a real STARK contrast between people who are supposed to lead teams.
Anyway, I shall not continue to mention someone because someone is tainting the blog.
I hope you guys woke up to your Christmas surprises as well :)
Happy Boxing Day and...
I AM OFF TO SURF ASOS NAO NAO NAO
