Taste Paradise + DOME
As an excuse to celebrate Corinna's birthday, we found ourselves at the Taste Paradise.
Apparently it is supposed to be a more high class dim sum place.
This salted tofu is not too bad, but a tad too OILY o.0
I don't eat egg tarts so I can't comment on this.
The plus point of the Xiao Long Bao here is that the skin don't break easily, so I can savour both the sauce and the meat together :D
This cost $12, but I am dying to have some clams~~
Maybe high class food don't suit me afterall?
I don't see why people are singing praises for the dim sum leh. Taste normal to me.
Ok but that said, I am no dim sum expert as well.
So no ratings for this, because I really don't know how to rate.
but if you would like to try

We spent the whole day hanging out at Orchard doing literally nothing, hopping from food place to another, salivating at stuff in the supermarkets, talking non-stop about the 'olden days' and naturally where we are at present.
It was until Sian said that she has been seeing Marilyn for the past 11 years that I stopped to think how old we are omgggggg but at the same time, grateful for the company since sec school. One wise teacher once told us that it is the bonds that we forged in sec school that will be the most unforgettable. Indeed, while I am not close friends with all my sec school mates, there are still a number of cliques that stood strong even till now. As small as this clique may be, it still feels home talking to them whenever I land myself in some sort of troubles or reach some sort of crossroads.
Thank you girls :)
Finally decided to have dinner at DOME cafe primarily because we were hooked by its menu when we were out together but ALSO because SCB cards got 15% off (reaching auntie age soon you see).
We literally ate from 4pm till 8pm, drinking coffee, eating cakes and finally had our dinner (yes we do things the other way).
What is shown above is the Crayfish pasta, but the meat was a little too tough for liking.
It's a place good for coffe, but maybe not so for meals.
I still prefer TCC any time.
Oh yes, the cafe overcharged us for two soups that we didn't have.
I tried my luck at their main website:
and got back my refund + two vouchers for a couple of cuppas for my next visit.
The whole process was smooth and speedy, so despite the initial carelessness, I still hold DOME's customer service in high regard :)
