Escape rooms are popping up left right centre in Singapore and remember I went to Exit Plan before? That was quite a disaster because we weren't able to get out of the room in time. It felt like watching a movie halfway. #$%#^%$ Anyway, my friends saw the blog entry and a couple of them were also interested to try this activity. Unfortunately, the groupon for Exit Plan was sold out and they didn't really want to pay the full price for their first trial so I found...

Trapped.sg on Deal.com.sg :)
Ok lah, you can call us cheapos now >.<
It cost about $9 per pax so that was really a plus point.

Often with deals/groupons, I always get this feeling that I will get cheated, make to buy more stuff or be forced to redeem the deal at a timing that I dislike. Am rather glad to say that this did not happen when I was deciding about reservation slots with Trapped and they were very speedy in their response :)

The place is located in Haji/Arab street/Kampong Glam area - this was an area we weren't very familiar with so we ended up being 5-10minutes late, eating into our 60mins game time :(

There are currently two different game rooms : Trapped In Wonderland and Trapped in Hostel. We picked Trapped in Wonderland because we didn't want to be spooked out. The staff at Trapped told us later that it was nothing scary, though there were a few fake hands etc.

The wonderland room was really unique because it is not just one room.
There were also different types of locks used so if you think you can escape by figuring out the various numerical permutations... that's not going to happen lol. It is the variety that made the room even more fun.

Very often there are a lot of hints and clues presented in front of us and we had no idea how to go about putting them in sequence or which hints were for what locks. The puzzles in the room were not particularly hard, there was no sokudo or extreme math to solve. This made the game more fun, I mean, we paid to have fun, not kill our brain cells on a weekend ok? If I really love math so much, I can always buy ten years series to do lol. Also, the hints given by the staff were very helpful as well.

In the end... we escaped the room with 1 minute to spare!!!
Remember we were late for like 10 minutes.
So essentially we escaped and still have 11minutes left!

Then we went to a nearby cafe to chill.

Ok that's all :)
